General Questions

What is the criteria to earn an A rank on a song? Or an S rank?

To earn an A rank, the number of "Miss"es you get must be less than or equal to 5% of the total number of Perfect/Great/Good/Miss judgments made in the song. For songs that have less than 100 such judgments, the number of "Miss"es must be 5 or less.

To get an S rank, you must not get any "Miss"es on the song.

Is it possible to turn the voices off?

Yes. Open the options menu in the game and click the "Volume" button. You can lower the volume of the voices or mute them completely.

Will more control options be added?

Yes, this is a very popular request so I will work on this as soon as I can.

Can I play the game on Linux using Proton?

Probably. I haven't tried it myself, but a tester was able to successfully complete the demo using Proton. Here are the tips they gave:

Troubleshooting

The game isn't recognizing certain keyboard key combinations, such as S+A+Up.

This might be due to your keyboard's hardware. Some keyboards don't have the ability to recognize certain simultaneous key press combinations. This ability of keyboards is known as rollover.

To test if your keyboard is affected by rollover, you can use this page.

If your keyboard is affected by rollover, you might consider playing with a controller instead or using a different keyboard.

  1. Unplug all controllers from your computer.
  2. Close the game and Steam, and then re-open Steam.
  3. Plug in the controller to your computer's USB port.

The game is running very slowly (low FPS).

If your computer does not have a dedicated graphics card, the game will run very slow. I will try to improve this somewhat in future updates though.

If your computer does have a dedicated graphics card, try setting the Framerate to Maximum in the graphics settings from the title screen or file select screen.

The characters' faces look completely black.

This is due to how lighting is working in some rooms on the lower graphics quality settings. I will try to address this in future updates.
